This high-carbon steel wire uses high-carbon steel strips with a purity of over 99.5% as the base material. Through precise composition control, the carbon content is stabilized at 0.70%-0.75% (referred to as the "golden ratio"), which not only ensures the basic hardness of the steel wire but also avoids the problem of easy brittle fracture of high-carbon materials. At the same time, the content of elements such as manganese (0.60%-0.90%) and silicon is strictly controlled. After continuous casting and rolling, the high-carbon steel strip has a fine internal metallographic structure free of impurities, pores, cracks and other defects, providing high-quality billets for subsequent processing. Precisely formed through multiple cold drawing processes, the 1.8mm diameter tolerance is strictly controlled within ±0.02mm. It not only meets the load requirements of high-intensity scenarios but also has moderate plasticity, facilitating secondary processing such as bending and winding. The Brinell hardness of HB220-250 brought by grade 72A enables the steel wire to not only precisely maintain its shape (like the rebound tension of a precision spring), but also possess the toughness to resist stress brittle fracture. After phosphating treatment on the surface, a dense protective film is formed, with wear resistance increased by over 30%. It is more wear-resistant when rubbing against other components, thus extending the service life of the accessories. Meanwhile, the surface finish reaches Ra≤0.8μm, free of burrs and scratches, reducing the wear and tear on the mold during processing.
